We have noted that high costs incurred for surfing lessons and outdoor pursuits programmes may sometimes mean that outdoor activities of this nature are an un-realistic option for youth groups in Wales.

For this reason and in keeping with our goals of social and youth inclusion, we have designed a brand new pricing structure which takes into account not just what we need to charge, but what organised youth groups can afford to pay, for safe, professional and insured surfing activities in Swansea & Gower, South West Wales.

 Lessons from as little as £7.50!

We recon that our new pricing shows our commitment to the continued development of the young people of South Wales.

We are working hard to make sure that young people in South Wales not only have the opportunity to participate in sport "on their doorstep", but also that those sports are provided at affordable prices.

We do recommend that 5 surf sessions makes for a perfect intoduction to surfing. However for groups who may fall short on funding or would just like to test the water we can also offer one session at a time.

Most groups will enjoy it so much that they'll just have to come back for more! 

At the end of the course all partisipants are issued with a certificate of achievement from Progress Surfing.

We would hope that anyone involved in Sports Development including 5x60 Officers, will help to promote our surfing programmes as a ‘viable solution to providing outdoor programmes in keeping with the national curriculum’

The Junior surfer scheme indorsed by the British surfing association

The Childrens University which is a national youth acievement scheme indorsed in Swansea by the city and county of Swansea.

During 2008 it will become compulsory for all schools to provide some kind of outdoor adventurous activities to all students.

At Swansea surf school we are committed to helping young people in Wales participate in sport. We strongly support the 5x60 scheme in Wales which encourages children to take part in at least 5x60 minuite sessions of exercise each week. We believe that welsh surfing lessons are a fantastic way of involving young people in surfing in Wales water sports and Welsh sporting activities in Wales.
